Council to take action on Resolution No. 45-18 approving the Airport Property Lease Agreement by and between the City of Buckeye and Performance Air Group LLC; and authorizing the City Manager  to execute and deliver said Agreement.

SUMMARY

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: 
Performance Air Group, LLC, (PAG), an Arizona limited liability company, currently operating from H.A. Clark Memorial Field in Williams, Arizona wishes to relocate and expand their business to Buckeye Municipal Airport.  Their leasehold will include the Southwest quadrant of the commercial hangar, formerly occupied by Triple G Dairy, as well as a 4,000 sq-ft ramp parcel.  Once at Buckeye, PAG will grow their service from its current maintenance-only foundation to a full-service Fixed Base Operation (FBO).  They will offer concierge services, a pilots' lounge and amenities, aircraft storage, maintenance, avionics, and Jet A fueling services.  The PAG business plan calls for future expansions into aircraft rental, flight instruction in both fixed-wing and rotorcraft aircraft and rotorcraft sales, and the construction of a larger facility for the storage and maintenance of aircraft.  Under our approved Airport Fee Schedule, the lease will bring in revenue of $13,351.00 per year for the term of the lease, which is for five years, plus options to extend.


BENEFITS:
The lease of the Southwest quadrant of the commercial hangar ensures full occupancy of the hangar and continued revenue to the Airport Enterprise.


FUTURE ACTION: Council and staff; does this need to be communicated internally/externally?
No further action will be required of Council and City staff with respect to this Lease Agreement until such time as the first option is exercised or the lease is terminated.


FINANCIAL IMPACT STATEMENT: Must be completed before submission
Revenue to the Airport.
