| | | | | | | | PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Police Department radios are over 10 years old and they. Motorola no longer supports the existing models in use. Further, these models are not capable of receiving signal in narrow band format, nor can they process TDMA signal. Narrow band / TDMA capable units will soon be the standard of the Regional Wireless Cooperative (RWC) of which the City is a member. This purchase will replace all front line mobile and portable radios with the latest technology, which includes WiFi and GPS capabilities. This quote is in line with the Arizona State Purchasing Contract.
